Poundland is looking for a Planning / Safety Co-Ordinator to join our dynamic team at the Harlow Distribution Centre. In this pivotal role, you will support the smooth running of our warehouse operations by managing recruitment, coordinating training, maintaining health and safety compliance, and ensuring essential facilities are available and functional.

This role offers a varied and fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You will work closely with the H&S and Planning Manager, liaising with various departments to ensure the DC remains operationally fit for purpose and legally compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage all warehouse recruitment activities.
• Training Coordination: Oversee site training programs.
• Compliance & Safety: Maintain SSOW, conduct audits, ensure legal compliance.
• Facilities Management: Oversee PPE, first-aid supplies, fire testing, yard maintenance, contractor liaison.
• Operational Support: Maintain MHE, organise racking inspections, liaise for site efficiency.
• Documentation & Tracking: Keep training matrices, compliance trackers, health assessments, site records up to date.

Minimum Requirements:

• Strong organisational skills across multiple processes.
• H&S qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and record-keeping.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in delivering or coordinating training programs is advantageous.
