Job summary

BUUK Infrastructure is seeking a Planning Engineer - MU Design to help design multi-utility networks for housing, mixed-use, and industrial projects. The role involves liaising with clients and internal teams to deliver fit-for-purpose networks in a cost-effective manner.

Key responsibilities include design calculations, stakeholder engagement, and cost control for variations, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices across BUUK projects.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade 5 or above in English and Maths.
• Knowledge of engineering principles.
• Knowledge of health and safety.
• Legislation.

Responsibilities

• Undertake demand calculations, network drawings and variations to ensure designs are fit for purpose and compliant.
• Design innovative engineering solutions that balance customer needs with cost efficiency.
• Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and constraints.
• Calculate contract variation costs and produce variation orders for clients.
• Attend meetings with Clients, Network Operators and other BUUK groups.
• Coordinate across BUUK to ensure safe, efficient construction of projects.
• Aim for high customer satisfaction with design and variation processes.
• Perform additional duties as required by the manager.
