Job summary

BUUK Infrastructure, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, is seeking a MU Nominated Design Engineer in Woolpit to design offsite infrastructure for new project awards, coordinating with the regional team to deliver projects from design through energisation.

The role requires experience across gas, water, electric, fibre or heat networks, CDM compliance and strong communication to translate technical requirements into effective designs. Hybrid working may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in the design of gas, water, electric, fibre, or heat networks.
• Experience in designing offsite utilities for housing/mixed-use developments.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with upstream network operators to design offsite infrastructure for new project awards.
• Produce and oversee offsite/ enabling utility designs for HV/LV/Gas/Water/Fibre.
• Coordinate handovers to onsite MU designers and ensure progress through project programme.
• Review site surveys to produce offsite designs fit for construction, including trial hole needs.
• Attend internal and external meetings to define scope of onsite work and ensure compliance with standards.
