Job summary

Careys is seeking a Planning Engineer to join the growing Planning team in Middlesbrough. You will work with operational, commercial and pre-construction groups to develop programmes that ensure safe, efficient delivery of major civil infrastructure.

The role suits an experienced Planning Engineer or a Site/Section/Senior Engineer looking to move into planning. NEC knowledge and planning software experience (Asta Powerproject) are beneficial as you expand into sequencing and logistics.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Experience as Site/Section/Senior Engineer moving into planning
• Understanding NEC contracts and construction sequencing
• Willingness to learn planning software
• Strong communication and stakeholder management
• Organised and analytical with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Develop tender and contract programmes
• Produce construction methodologies and sequencing plans
• Monitor progress and update live programmes
• Manage programme change and identify risks
• Produce look-ahead programmes and progress reports
• Collaborate with project teams to optimise delivery
