Job summary

Saipem in the UK is seeking a Planning Engineer to support the ENI Liverpool Bay Decommissioning & Carbon Capture project. You will develop and maintain the project schedule, ensuring feasibility and aligning with contractual requirements.

The role focuses on planning for onshore/offshore construction, using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, and collaborating across disciplines to keep milestones on track. Based in Wales, it offers full-time contractor work with UK site presence.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years in planning activities within an EPCI project environment.
  • Technical skills in planning for construction phases.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate the Project Schedule per contract and standards; flag criticalities.
  • Implement the Planning and Progress Control System.
  • Identify deviations from the plan promptly and analyze.
  • Promote schedule awareness among project participants.
  • Create and maintain 90-day look-ahead, weekly and monthly schedules.
  • Support Project Control Manager in status reporting.
  • Assist with contract amendments/claims and time-impact analysis.
  • Participate in schedule risk analysis and risk management.

Purpose of the position

As Planning Engineer you will be part of our ENI Liverpool Bay Project (Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage). You will ensure the development of the Project Schedule.

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:
  • Ensure the development of the Project Schedule according to contractual requirements and internal standards, verifying its feasibility and highlighting any criticalities
  • Implement the Planning and Progress Control System
  • Ensure any deviation from the plan is promptly spotted and analysed
  • Create a schedule awareness atmosphere amongst all project participants
  • Create and maintain the 90 days look-ahead schedule, weekly schedule, and monthly schedule
  • Assist the Project Control Manager in the preparation of the Project Status Report
  • Support the Project during contract amendments/claims and provide the time impact analysis
  • Participate in risk management activities including schedule risk analysis
