Job description

Planning Enforcement Officer needed in Nuneaton, £45ph PAYE – Reference: 5268129

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist in delivering the planning enforcement service, including:
1. Investigating complaints and alleged breaches of planning control, including site inspections, visits, observations, and interviews.
2. Maintaining accurate records of site visits and evidence collected.
3. Advising alleged offenders and complainants on planning and enforcement procedures, including complaint progress, in accordance with policies.
4. Managing discharges of conditions and monitoring development implementation.
2. Provide advice and information to the public and customers on enforcement matters via phone, in person, by letter, and reports to legal services.
3. Conduct interviews and record statements under caution, adhering to relevant legislation such as the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
4. Draft and serve enforcement notices, including Planning Contravention Notices, Breach of Condition Notices, Requisition for Information, Enforcement Notices, Temporary Stop Notices, and Stop Notices.
5. Prepare and present factual evidence at planning hearings, inquiries, and court proceedings.
