Job summary

Woking Borough Council is seeking a Planning Enforcement Investigations Officer to join the Planning Team on a full-time, permanent basis in Woking. You will investigate breaches of planning control and determine appropriate remedies, reporting to the Principal Planning Enforcement Officer.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work in a team, and a valid UK driving licence for site visits.

Qualifications

• Experience in investigating breaches of planning control preferred.
• Excellent communication with residents, businesses and councillors.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate alleged breaches of planning control to determine if a breach exists.
• Take appropriate action to remedy breaches under supervision.
• Provide responses to residents, businesses and elected members.
