Director of Planning - Build Your Own Consultancy

Location: London / Bristol / Manchester

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + bonus

Position Overview:

As the Director of Planning, you will have the autonomy to establish and manage your own consultancy, focusing on planning services. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in client acquisition and a passion for shaping the future of planning initiatives. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to build and lead a team of three experts while enjoying a competitive salary, target-related bonuses, and flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities.
2. Drive business growth through client acquisition, meeting and exceeding set targets for your consultancy.
3. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of three planning professionals.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders across locations (Manchester, Bristol, and Central London) to ensure the successful execution of planning projects.
5. Shape the strategic direction of your consultancy and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in planning consultancy with a strong client portfolio.
2. In-depth knowledge of planning regulations and processes in the UK.
3. MUST - be a member of the RTPI.
4. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
5. Entrepreneurial mindset and a demonstrated ability to drive business growth.
6. Strong communication and negotiation skills.

3. Flexible working hours, Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm.
