Job summary

The Government of the United Kingdom is seeking a planning enforcement officer to work within the development services team on enforcement matters. You will investigate breaches of planning control, gather evidence, conduct site visits and advise officers, Councillors, developers and community groups.

You must be proficient in Microsoft Office and internet research, and able to communicate clearly at all levels. The role is paid £31,015 to £33,119 per annum pro rata.

Qualifications

• Background in compliance and monitoring.
• Experience in investigating and taking action on planning breaches.
• Ability to gather intelligence and evidence.
• Ability to conduct site visits and liaise with planning officers.
• Strong communication with officers, councillors, developers and communities.
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office and internet use.
