The London Borough of Sutton is seeking an experienced Planning Enforcement professional to join our enforcement team. You will investigate breaches of planning control across diverse developments and support senior managers and councillors in shaping enforcement strategies.

The role requires a proactive, self‑motivated candidate who can mentor colleagues and operate across departments. You will be expected to work from the office two days a week and undertake ad hoc site visits as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in planning enforcement and development controls.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and to mentor junior staff.

Aufgaben

• Investigate breaches of planning control on a range of developments including tall buildings, town centres, green belt and open space.
• Lead and mentor junior staff, collaborate with senior managers and elected councillors to develop leadership skills.
• Attend the office at least two days a week and be available for ad hoc site visits.
