Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking a Planning Assistant to join its busy Planning team. You will gain experience handling a varied planning caseload, including householder development, and work within a friendly team to deliver high-quality outcomes for residents.

Applicants should have a recognised planning qualification or be working towards one; new graduates are welcome. The role offers a mix of home and office working, site visits, and in-person meetings, with flexibility to support

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Planning or a related subject.
• New graduates or those working towards a Planning qualification encouraged to apply.
• Ability to use judgment and initiative; capable of working as part of a team to manage caseload.

Responsabilités

• Deal with planning enquiries and applications for minor developments, with emphasis on householder development.
• Undertake site visits and attend team meetings (in person) as required.
• Work in a flexible hybrid pattern with both home and office working and occasional travel.
