Flintshire County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to lead a Development Management team with a major, complex caseload. You will manage applications from pre-application to decision, prepare reports for Planning Committee and represent the Council at appeals.

Welsh language skills are desirable and Welsh training may be provided. You will mentor colleagues, contribute to service improvements and help maintain a high-performing, customer-focused planning service with hybrid

Qualificações

• Significant experience in Development Management within a local authority.
• Strong knowledge of planning legislation, policy and procedures.
• Confidence handling complex casework and competing priorities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and report-writing skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a diverse caseload of major, complex and high-profile applications from pre-application to decision.
• Prepare and present reports at Planning Committee and represent the Council at appeals/hearings.
• Support and mentor colleagues and contribute to service improvements.
