Job summary

Galbraith in Morpeth is seeking a qualified Planner or Surveyor to join our Planning and Development team. This role strengthens the team’s capacity to deliver planning and development advice, manage fee-earning instructions, support client relationships and contribute to growth across Northumberland and the North East.

The successful candidate will be MRICS, RTPI or equivalent experience in development, rural property or land consultancy, with strong written and verbal communication skills and

Qualifications

• MRICS, RTPI or equivalent in development, rural property or land consultancy.
• Clear driving licence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines and client expectations.
• Experience with mapping, layouts, CAD or design-led feasibility work desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning applications, development appraisals, prior approvals, pre-application enquiries and planning strategies.
• Support engagement with developers, promoters and landowners, including strategic land opportunities.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, consultants, local authorities and professional contacts; identify new instructions and manage budgets, deadlines and file updates.
