About the Company

Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor, recognised for delivering high-value infrastructure projects across the UK. With a strong pipeline of major works and a reputation for excellence, they are seeking a skilled Planner to join their team and support the successful delivery of complex civil engineering schemes.

The Role

As a Planner, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring project programmes throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders, you will ensure that construction activities are effectively planned, sequenced, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using industry-standard planning software
2. Work with the project team to identify critical paths, key milestones, and resource requirements
3. Analyse project performance and update programmes to reflect progress and changes
4. Produce planning reports, forecasts, and scenario planning as required
5. Attend client and progress meetings, providing accurate planning input and updates
6. Assist in the preparation of tender programmes and methodology statements

Requirements

• Proven experience in planning roles within the civil engineering or infrastructure sectors
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
• Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills
• Ability to work across multiple projects and prioritise workloads
• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Full UK driving licence
