Job summary

sportscotland, the national agency for sport in Scotland, invites motivated Planners to join our Facilities team in Glasgow. We offer two full-time posts (35 hours per week), one permanent and one fixed-term for two years, with a hybrid work arrangement and potential flexible working.

You will help plan strategically for places where people can take part in sport and collaborate with partners across policy and development management.

Qualifications

• Degree/postgraduate qualification or equivalent in planning or related disciplines; chartered RTPI desirable.

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Planners to join our Facilities team. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, with a range of partners, to plan and influence the development of places where people can take part at all levels in sport.

There are two full-time roles available (35 hours per week): one permanent and one fixed-term position for two years. Please note in your application what role(s) you would like to be considered for.

While the roles will include working across planning policy and development management, its focus will be supporting partners to plan strategically for places for sport. Ideally you will have experience in this area, or the relevant skills which will enable you to add value to partners’ work in this area.

To be considered for this role, you should hold a degree/postgraduate qualification or equivalent in planning or related disciplines; chartered membership of the RTPI is desirable.

* Please note successful candidates will be appointed at the entry point of the salary band.
