Job summary

YTL UK is seeking an experienced Project Planner (Capital Delivery) to support technical planning across a portfolio of engineering and construction projects. You will work at project and programme levels with Project Managers, Designers, Environmental, Commercial and Construction teams, including NEC4 contract environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in a project delivery, engineering, infrastructure or construction environment.
• Practical knowledge of planning and scheduling across the project lifecycle.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, or similar project management software.
• Experience of reviewing programmes and understanding critical path, baselines, progress and variance.
• Working knowledge of NEC4 contracts and programme requirements.
• An HNC or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support baseline management and change control incl. Regulatory and Practical Completion dates.
• Review external programme revisions in line with NEC4 processes.
• Produce programme reports, lookaheads, milestone variance and Power BI reporting.
• Attend site and project meetings to review progress and keep programmes up to date.

Are you an experienced project planner who enjoys working with delivery teams to solve problems and keep complex projects on track?

Join YTL Construction UK as a Project Planner (Capital Delivery). You will provide technical planning support across a diverse portfolio of engineering and construction projects, working at both the project and programme levels.

You will work with Project Managers, Designers, Environmental, Commercial and Construction teams on projects delivered by YTL Infrastructure and through external partners under NEC4 contractual arrangements.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will develop, maintain and analyse design and construction schedules. You will help delivery teams understand progress, risks, constraints and the actions needed to protect key dates.

You'll work collaboratively to:

• develop, maintain and review project programmes using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• identify and challenge the critical path, programme risks, constraints, opportunities and dependencies
• provide technical planning support and advise delivery teams on delay mitigation options
• maintain programme data dates and support the agreed monthly reporting cycle
• support baseline management and change control, including Regulatory and Practical Completion dates
• review and respond to external programme revisions in line with NEC4 processes
• produce clear programme reports, lookaheads, milestone variance information and Power BI reporting
• attend site and project meetings to review progress and keep construction programmes up to date.

The role includes travel to sites and offices across the Wessex Water region, with opportunities for hybrid working where appropriate.

What you'll need

You'll be an organised and collaborative planner who can manage several priorities, communicate clearly and use programme information to support sound project decisions.

You will have:

• experience in a project delivery, engineering, infrastructure or construction environment
• practical knowledge of planning and scheduling across the project lifecycle
• working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, or similar project management software
• experience of reviewing programmes and understanding critical path, baselines, progress and variance
• working knowledge of NEC4 contracts and programme requirements
• an HNC or equivalent engineering qualification
• strong communication, analytical and organisational skills.

Knowledge of water supply, wastewater networks, treatment or wider utilities infrastructure would be beneficial.
