Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Planner to join the Energy Team on the SSE ASTI Framework in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on producing resourced programmes, contributing to risk management, and coordinating with estimators and designers to ensure schedules are aligned with project requirements.

You will use planning software (P6, TILOS, QSRA), manage project documentation, and liaise with multiple disciplines to deliver compliant schedules for tendering and contract delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience within Civil Engineering / Construction preferably within Water but not essential.
  • Use of planning software (P6, TILOS, QSRA).
  • Active experience of working with a wide range of planning techniques in serving both tendering and contract delivery.
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Microsoft Project and P6

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a resourced programme, including reviewing the outcome for conformance with expectations and requirements.
  • Contribute to the risk register and undertake programme risk analysis.
  • Prepare visual material in aid of planned methods.
  • Manage personally controlled project documentation in an orderly fashion.
  • Provide a link between all parties regarding the planning community information
  • Define methods and establish outputs, in consultation with the estimator and other team members, including the supply chain in appropriate circumstances.
  • Liaise with the design engineer to establish a design brief for temporary works.
  • Provide the estimator with a justified schedule of temporary works and other indirect cost items.
  • In consultation with Estimator advise project team of required feedback reports and support.
