Job description


Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Planned Maintenance Quantity Surveyor (PM QS) is responsible for managing day-to-day commercial and contractual queries within the Planned Maintenance team.
This vital role ensures that all jobs and orders raised by the team are contractually accurate and addresses any queries raised upon completion of construction. Responsibilities include analyzing forecasts, managing compensation events, and leading joint site measures.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Provide commercial and contractual support to PM Engineers during the design and ordering of schemes.
  2. Attend site for joint measures as required, both during works and after completion.
  3. Maintain close liaison with the Principal Contractor on all matters relating to final accounts.
  4. Conduct regular data analysis on costs and item usage, as requested by the Programme Manager.

Essential Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent qualification) or demonstrable relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract and the Term Service contract.
  • Ability to interpret contract documents and drawings accurately.
