Job summary

BWB Consulting invites a motivated civil/structural engineering student to join our infrastructure division in Nottingham for a summer placement. You will assist with design solutions and AutoCAD drawings, working with a supportive team of experienced engineers.

Join us to gain hands-on experience across highways, drainage, earthworks, geotechnics and project management while developing professional skills and industry knowledge in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• You should be studying towards a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other industry software.
• Enthusiasm and ambition to learn and progress.
• Problem solving and strong communication skills.
• Personal organisation and ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

You will have specific projects to work on. A genuine role, with genuine responsibility. You'll work alongside your colleagues and be expected to make an input into the achievement of team goals from day one. This role will be from Summer 2027 to Sumer 2028.

You will be working in our infrastructure division that specialises in highways, drainage, earthworks, geotechnics, bridges/civil engineering structures and project & design management.

You will assist with design solutions and AutoCAD drawings for our civil engineering projects, fully supported by our experienced team of engineers and technicians.

What You’ll Bring

• You should currently be studying towards a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and other industry software
• Enthusiasm and ambition to learn and progress
• Problem solving and strong communication skills
