Job summary

BWB Consulting is seeking a motivated civil/structural engineering student for a Summer 2027 to Summer 2028 placement within the infrastructure division. You will assist with design solutions and AutoCAD drawings for highways, drainage, and earthworks projects, supported by experienced engineers and technicians.

Ideal candidates are actively studying civil or structural engineering, know AutoCAD or similar software, and show enthusiasm, problem solving, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and other industry software.
• Enthusiasm and ambition to learn and progress.
• Problem solving and strong communication skills.
• Personal organisation skills, and the ability to work well within a team.
• Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design solutions and AutoCAD drawings for civil engineering projects.
• Work within our infrastructure division that specialises in highways, drainage, earthworks, geotechnics, bridges/civil engineering structures and project & design management.
• Be an input into the achievement of team goals from day one.

What you’ll be doing:

You will have specific projects to work on. A genuine role, with genuine responsibility. You'll work alongside your colleagues and be expected to make an input into the achievement of team goals from day one. This role will be from Summer 2027 to Sumer 2028.

You will be working in our infrastructure division that specialises inhighways, drainage, earthworks, geotechnics, bridges/civil engineering structures and project & design management.

You will assist withdesign solutions and AutoCAD drawings for our civil engineering projects, fully supported by our experienced team of engineers and technicians.
