Kier Group is seeking an Industrial Placement Quantity Surveyor to join our Southampton team for a placement year, supporting the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects.

You will work within the project team to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and develop skills in cost control, tendering, and financial reporting while applying numerical confidence.

Qualifications

• Working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Interest in construction industry and motivation to learn.
• Numerical confidence and data-driven decision making.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in maximising gross profit for projects.
• Managing commercial resources of the project.
• Assessing, reviewing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks.
• Helping prepare and submit tenders and contract documents.
• Collaborating with the project team to prepare progress reports and financial statements.
