Job summary

Nova Training invites applications for a part-time Placement & Progression Officer in our Dereham centre. You will support learners to move from centre to work placements, vet and update placements, and ensure engagement with learners and employers.

The role focuses on creating progression routes and coordinating local marketing and careers events. The role requires proven sales/IAG experience, Level 2 literacy/numeracy/ICT, and a full UK driving license.

Qualifications

• Minimum level 2 literacy, numeracy & ICT.
• Experience in a sales/IAG oriented business to customer environment.
• Highly proficient in Google, Gmail and Google Meets.
• Experience managing own performance targets against challenging targets.
• IAG qualification would be desirable.
• Full, clean UK Driving License.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with the transition from centre to work placements.
• Undertake initial vetting and updates of work experience/apprenticeship placements.
• Periodic reviews of learners in work experience placements with engagement from learners and employers.
• Encourage employers to employ learners and engage them on Apprenticeship or Traineeship programmes.
• Create relationships with colleagues and organisations as progression routes.
• Undertake local marketing and outreach to generate referrals to learner recruitment service.
• Co-ordinate local marketing and careers events.
• Assist learners to source progression routes and smooth transitions to chosen destinations.
