Job summary

Blackburn College is seeking a proactive Work Placement Coordinator to manage and support student placements on 16-19 study programmes, including T Levels and extended industry placements.

You will liaise with curriculum teams, employers and students to develop high-quality opportunities, monitor activity, and ensure meaningful industry experience while meeting quality assurance standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
• Experience communicating with employers from a range of sectors.
• Understanding of the further education sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, monitor and support student work placements.
• Identify and develop high-quality placement opportunities with employers.
• Build strong employer relationships and ensure placement activity meets QA requirements.
• Support students to prepare for the workplace and organise employer visits.
