Cummins Inc is seeking an enthusiastic Placement Student Engineer to join the Power Systems Business segment in Daventry, UK. This year-long placement focuses on AI, digital engineering, and zero fuel burn testing to accelerate engine validation and subsystem design.

You will work across cross-functional teams, contributing to tool development, data analysis, and technical reporting, while gaining hands-on experience in a global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• STEM degree required (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related).
• Prefer Mechanical, Aerospace, Motorsport or related engineering disciplines.
• On-site work with travel/relocation to Daventry, UK for placement year.

Responsibilities

• Support AI and digital engineering tool development for engine sub-systems.
• Contribute to zero fuel burn testing component validation.
• Assist with data collection, evaluation, and reporting of experimental and simulation data.
