Job summary

Warwick College Group is seeking an Industry Placements Coordinator to organise industry placements for 16-18-year-old students and ensure health and safety checks for each placement.

You will record details on the college system, develop employer partnerships, and work with programme managers to ensure all students complete placements, with ongoing guidance and support throughout the process.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics, or Level 2 equivalent qualification.
• Working knowledge of information technology such as e-mail, the internet and other software applications.
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Availability to travel between sites and hold a full UK driving licence without major endorsements.
• Experience with processes and systems including Excel and Grofar.
• First Aid qualification or willingness to gain qualification.

Responsibilities

• To co-ordinate the provision of industry placements and experiences of work for 16-18-year-old students.
• To ensure health and safety checks are carried out for each placement.
• To record details of provision on the central college system.
• To develop and maintain a broad base of employers for placements.
• To support placement providers and facilitate future opportunities.
• To work with study programme managers to ensure students undertake placements.
• To provide guidance and support to students for successful placements.
• To develop and sustain good working relations with employers.
• To maintain a database of industry experience providers on the college system.
• To provide regular reports to College Leadership Team and managers.
• To attend external events to increase employer engagement.
