Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley offers a 12-month placement that spans both design and construction teams, providing broad exposure to real-world projects within the Yorkshire Water framework. You’ll travel around the Yorkshire and Humber region and contribute to live projects while gaining experience relevant to your degree.

This role starts Summer 2027, with mentorship from experienced professionals and opportunities to secure a permanent role following the placement year.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced mechanical engineers on-site and in the office to gain practical exposure to mechanical systems and project implementation.
• Engage in water and wastewater projects from design and planning to installation and maintenance to ensure efficient operation of systems.
• Develop skills in mechanical design, system analysis, and problem-solving to support a future career in mechanical engineering.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment on all projects.
