Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional with a focus on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), digital certificates, and encryption technologies. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of hands-on experience in these areas and a solid foundation in cybersecurity architecture.

• Duration: 3 months
• Location: Remote
• Security Clearance: SC required
• Daily Rate: £640 inside IR35 (Umbrella only)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of PKI solutions in large-scale, secure environments.
• Support migration from existing PKI to new infrastructure as part of Smart Meter Solution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure PKI integration within broader cybersecurity framework.
• Manage and maintain HSMs, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Provide guidance on encryption standards, certificate lifecycle, and secure key storage.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.

Key Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in PKI, HSM, encryption, and digital certificates.
• Deep understanding of PKI architecture and design principles.
• Experience working with HSMs in production environments.
• Strong cybersecurity knowledge, tools, and frameworks.
• Experience with IBM PKI solutions (desirable).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in teams.
