Franco Manca in Cardiff is hiring a Pizza Second Chef to support the Head Chef and help keep the kitchen running smoothly. You’ll work with the Head Chef to ensure every pizza is a standout and take ownership of prep, hygiene, and safety standards.

You’ll train and mentor juniors, stay calm under pressure, and play a hands-on role from dough stretching to crafting pizzas that delight guests. Join a team that values great food and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen with a focus on food prep and hygiene.
• Ability to work as part of a team and stay organized during busy shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and keep the heart of the pizzeria running smoothly.
• Collaborate with Head Chef to deliver consistently great pizzas.
• Take responsibility for key kitchen areas, from prep to safety standards.
• Train and support junior team members, sharing skills and passion.
• Remain calm under pressure and lead when Head Chef isn’t present.
• Hands-on role from dough stretching to creating pizzas.
