Job summary

Franco Manca Brighton is seeking a Pizza Second Chef to support the Head Chef and keep the kitchen buzzing. You’ll help deliver consistently great pizzas, manage food prep, hygiene, safety, and mentor junior teammates.

We offer an hourly rate (£13.76–£17.76 OTE including service charge and delivery bonus), free pizzas and drinks on shift, 28 days holiday (pro rata), a pension, wellbeing support, staff discounts, and Franco Academy development across the UK.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience in a busy environment.
• Strong understanding of food prep, hygiene and service.
• Be a great team player with a positive attitude.
• Desire to learn and grow in your kitchen career.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and lead the team when needed.
• Help deliver consistently great pizzas and dishes.
• Take responsibility for key kitchen areas: prep, quality control, hygiene and safety.
• Train and support junior team members.
• Keep calm under pressure and step in when the Head Chef isn't around.
• Hands-on role from dough stretching to pizza creation.
