Job summary

Chartwells Independent is seeking a Pizza Chef / Chef de Partie in Blackfriars, earning £17+ per hour. You’ll lead the pizza section, preparing dough, sauces and toppings for a busy contract catering service, while supporting other kitchen areas as needed.

You’ll contribute to high food quality and presentation, and maintain a clean workstation. The role requires experience in a professional kitchen, a hands-on attitude and a team-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a professional kitchen is required or strongly preferred.
• Interest or experience in pizza is desirable and beneficial.
• Confident in preparing and cooking pizza in a busy kitchen.
• Positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to support other sections.
• Reliable and flexible team player who works well in a small kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the pizza section, preparing and cooking pizzas to a consistently high standard.
• Prepare and organise pizza dough, sauces, toppings and other ingredients for service.
• Manage the pizza station during busy service periods, ensuring food is cooked and presented to specification.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and portion control.
• Support other kitchen sections and service requirements as and when required.
• Assist with service setup, preparation, service periods and clear-down.
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workstation throughout the day.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.

Pizza Chef / Chef de Partie, Blackfriars, £17+ per hour!

Looking for a chef role that gives you more time outside of work? As our Chef de Partie, you’ll primarily focus on pizza preparation and service, working alongside the Head Chef and wider kitchen team in a friendly, high-volume contract catering environment. You’ll also support other sections of the kitchen as and when required, helping to deliver a consistently high standard of food and service.

What you’ll be doing:
