Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is seeking a Construction Piping Engineer for the Hinkley Point C project. This on-site role focuses on delivering piping and mechanical construction packages, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring construction readiness across complex sites.

The successful candidate will contribute to safety, quality and continuous improvement while supporting project milestones within a regulated nuclear environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering mechanical and piping systems on large-scale construction or engineering projects.
• Experience in regulated sectors such as nuclear, power generation, oil and gas, defence, rail or petrochemical industries.
• Strong understanding of construction work packages, technical documentation and installation processes.
• Experience coordinating contractors, engineers and client stakeholders across complex project environments.
• Knowledge of safe systems of work and a strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of piping and mechanical construction work packages for site installation activities.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors and client stakeholders to ensure documentation is accurate, compliant and construction-ready.
• Support and guide construction personnel with technical expertise for safe and efficient project delivery.
• Monitor progress against project schedules and prioritise deliverables to meet milestones.
• Champion nuclear safety, quality standards and continuous improvement throughout the construction lifecycle.
