Job summary

Piping Design Engineer role supported by PWE Recruitment Group is focused on advancing design for a high-profile UK HPC project. The successful candidate will work within the site engineering team on piping systems, supports and related mechanical structures, ensuring compliance with nuclear standards.

Ideal candidates have around 5 years of experience in piping design and mechanical calculations, familiarity with Eurocodes/ASME/RCC-M, and experience with PIPESTRESS, ANSYS, RSTAB, PDMS or

Qualifications

• Experience in piping design, mechanical calculations, nuclear or other highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of engineering standards including Eurocodes, ASME and RCC-M.
• Experience carrying out piping stress, support and mechanical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Supporting site design activities and providing technical assessments for RFIs and field changes.
• Collaborating with construction teams, contractors, and engineering disciplines to resolve piping challenges.
• Producing assessments and recommendations for piping, supports, anchorages and mechanical structures.
• Reviewing and implementing design modifications to meet project requirements.
• Supporting closure of technical queries and open engineering actions.
• Working with CAD designers to develop and update drawings and documentation.
• Performing piping flexibility studies and structural calculations.
