Job summary

Reed is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer focused on piping and process equipment. You will design piping networks, layouts and supporting structures for complex systems within the energy sector.

The role requires hands-on experience in pipe stress analysis and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams. You will use AutoCAD Plant 3D, AVEVA E3D and CAESAR II to develop robust layouts and ensure compliance with piping standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical design experience in piping within industrial or process engineering.
• Experience with piping design, layout or pipe stress analysis.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Plant 3D, AVEVA E3D, CAESAR II, or similar software.
• Knowledge of piping standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop piping networks and mechanical layouts for process equipment and modular installations.
• Collaborate with CAD, structural and other disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
• Perform piping supports analysis and mechanical calculations for interfaces with vessels and heat exchangers.
• Support design development from concept through detail design and documentation.
