Job summary

Reed is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer / Controls Engineer to join its team in an industrial engineering environment. You will design electrical systems, panels and controls, producing schematics and BOMs with EPLAN.

The role involves supporting build, testing, installation and commissioning across diverse industries. Ideal candidates have strong electrical design background, experience with EPLAN, and familiarity with PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell/AB, B&R) and robotics.

Qualifications

• Strong background in electrical design for control systems in an industrial setting.
• Proficient in creating electrical schematics and circuit diagrams using EPLAN.
• Experience designing control panels and electrical control systems.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical schematics and circuit diagrams using EPLAN.
• Design control panels and electrical control systems.
• Create bills of materials and select electrical components.
• Design electrical and safety systems per standards.
• Support build and wiring of panels and equipment.
• Collaborate with technicians during build and testing.
• Fault-find and troubleshoot electrical and safety systems.
• Support installation and commissioning when needed.
• Modify and improve existing electrical systems.
• Work with mechanical/electrical/controls engineers on projects.
• Assist customers remotely and on-site when required.
