Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical) to manage complex projects from inception to completion in Northumberland. You will prepare proposals, review technical drawings, and generate 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, while driving improvements in quality, efficiency and safety.

Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate subcontractors to meet timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in mechanical engineering or capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from inception to completion ensuring timelines, budgets and quality.
• Prepare proposals with cost justifications and progress updates.
• Review drawings and specifications for compliance and accuracy.
• Produce 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD/Autodesk Inventor.
• Drive process improvements for quality, machine efficiency and safety.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and ensure safety/regulatory compliance.
