Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is seeking a Metals Planner (Planning Technician) at the Fawley site to join the Maintenance Group.

The role is for a 12-month assignment with a focus on planning metals maintenance work, drawing on your pipefitting background and technical expertise to support safe, efficient maintenance across a major industrial operation. You will collaborate with the Bangalore Technical Centre and other teams to prepare detailed plans, estimate costs and manage supplier and contractor activity

Qualifications

• Strong planning and field scoping experience in heavy industry.
• Experience with maintenance scheduling and work management processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Cost estimating and budget management experience.
• Understanding of maintenance KPIs and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret technical information, drawings and equipment specifications.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage a backlog of maintenance work within SAP.
• Scope repair, maintenance and functional failure work for designated units.
• Collaborate with BTC to develop detailed maintenance plans and job packs.
• Conduct field visits, take measurements, photos and technical information to support planning.
• Create and maintain maintenance plans, task lists and planning templates.
• Source materials, equipment and third-party services for maintenance activities.
• Produce accurate cost estimates and support annual maintenance planning.
• Manage purchase orders and monitor cost overruns.
• Coordinate multicraft maintenance activities and optimise resources.
• Track material procurement and contractor requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and planning performance reviews.
• Ensure all work is planned to site safety, reliability and standards.
