Job summary

Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Planner (Metals Planner) in Southampton to join a major industrial maintenance and engineering operation. The role focuses on developing detailed maintenance work scopes for piping, structural steel, and mechanical systems, and producing work packs for efficient site execution.

Qualifications

Requires strong maintenance planning background and pipefitting experience.
Able to develop maintenance scopes, work packs and cost estimates.
Experience in refinery, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed maintenance work scopes and job plans for piping and mechanical activities.
Produce comprehensive work packs including labour, materials, tools and contractor requirements.
Manage maintenance activities through SAP or equivalent CMMS.
Source materials and coordinate third‑party service providers.
Support shutdowns, turnarounds and planned maintenance campaigns.
Monitor maintenance backlogs and prioritise work activities.
Prepare cost estimates and support annual maintenance planning.
