Job summary

Tech People is recruiting for an experienced Pipefitter to work on a project in Reading, Berkshire. The candidate must hold a Gold CSCS Card for mechanical pipefitting and be reliable enough to work independently.

Role involves erecting the primary substructure, installing and bolting flanged pipework, and handling bolted carbon steel systems on site. Bring your own essential tools and PPE for a hands-on assignment.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Gold CSCS Card (or Blue CSCS Card) for Mechanical Pipefitting.
• Strong background in commercial construction and pipefitting.
• Reliable and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Erect the primary substructure (Stage 1).
• Install and bolt up flanged pipework.
• Work with a bolted carbon steel pipework system.

Tech People are currently recruiting for an experienced Pipefitters to work on a project in Reading, Berkshire. MUST HAVE PASMA

Job Details

• Position: Pipefitter
• Location: Reading, Berkshire,
• Start Date: 29/06/2026
• Duration: 6-8 weeks
• Hours:
  • Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:00pm
  • Friday: 7:30am-3:00pm
  • 30-minute unpaid break
• Rate: 27.00- 28.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Parking: FREE on-site parking available

Requirements & Duties

• Hold a valid Gold CSCS Card or Blue CSCS Card, specifically in Mechanical Pipefitting.
• Stage 1 will involve erecting the primary substructure.
• Install and bolt up flanged pipework.
• Work with a bolted carbon steel pipework system.
• Bring your own tools, including:
  • Impact driver
  • Spanners
  • 12mm socket
  • TX50
• Full PPE required.
• Must be reliable and able to work independently.
• Strong commercial construction background required.
