Job summary

Tech People are currently recruiting for an experienced Pipefitter to work on a project in Reading, Berkshire. You must have PASMA and a valid CSCS card (Gold or Blue) for mechanical pipefitting. Hours are Mon-Thu 7:30am-4:00pm, Fri 7:30am-3:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid break.

Rate £27.00-£28.00 per hour, depending on experience. Free on-site parking available. Project duration is 6-8 weeks, starting 29/06/2026.

Qualifications

HOLD a valid CSCS Card (Gold or Blue) for mechanical pipefitting.
PASMA certification is required.
Experience in commercial construction and pipefitting.
Reliable and able to work independently with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Erect the primary substructure on site.
Install and bolt up flanged pipework.
Work with a bolted carbon steel pipework system.
Bring own tools and PPE as specified.

Position: Pipefitter

Location: Reading, Berkshire

Start Date: 29/06/2026

Duration: 6-8 weeks

Hours:

Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:00pm
Friday: 7:30am-3:00pm
30-minute unpaid break

Rate: £27.00-£28.00 per hour, depending on experience

Parking: FREE on-site parking available

Requirements & Duties

Hold a valid Gold CSCS Card or Blue CSCS Card, specifically in Mechanical Pipefitting.
Stage 1 will involve erecting the primary substructure.
Install and bolt up flanged pipework.
Work with a bolted carbon steel pipework system.
Bring your own tools, including:
- Impact driver
- Spanners
- 12mm socket
- TX50
Full PPE required.
Must be reliable and able to work independently.
Strong commercial construction background required.
