Position Summary

Constructors Inc. is seeking a motivated Pipe Layer to join our team. This role involves underground construction, maintenance, and repair of pipes under supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Prepare pipe layouts and positions for welding or sealing.
2. Use GPS and levels to ensure correct grades and slopes.
3. Connect pipe sections and seal joints with cement or glue.
4. Set steel reinforcement, build and set forms, and perform light concrete finishing.
5. Set precast concrete structures such as inlets and manholes.
6. Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
7. Cut pipes to required lengths.
8. Dig trenches to specified depths using hand or trenching tools.
9. Communicate with supervisors to resolve issues and improve methods.
10. Participate in safety procedures and ensure compliance with safety rules.
11. Perform other assigned duties on-site.

Position Requirements and Education

• High School diploma or GED.
• Prefer 1-3 years of underground construction experience.
• Knowledge of construction materials and concepts.
• Ability to manage resources effectively.
• Team player with leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-production environment.

Working Conditions

Employees may stand, walk, sit, handle tools, reach, and communicate. Occasionally lift/move up to 75 pounds. Visual requirements include various types of vision. Must navigate construction sites and landscape. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, weather conditions, and loud environments. Overnight travel may be required. This is a tobacco-free campus.
