Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in the Durham area. This hybrid role combines home-based work with regular time at assessment centres, offering stable hours and a balanced schedule.

You’ll use your clinical expertise in nursing, physiotherapy, or related fields to conduct PIP assessments and produce clear, decision-focused reports. The position is permanent and full-time with structured pay progression and a competitive bonus scheme, plus training and

Qualifications

• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed).
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues
• Attend the assessment centre as required
