Job summary

Reed is seeking a hands-on Process Technician to operate and maintain pilot-scale equipment in a cutting-edge battery manufacturing pilot plant. You will work alongside engineers and scientists, supporting trials, process development, and scale-up projects to deliver high-quality experimental results.

The role emphasizes practical mechanical skills, adherence to safety and quality standards, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
• Experience operating machinery, process equipment or manufacturing systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Understanding of safe working practices within an industrial environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Basic knowledge of chemical processes and associated hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pilot-scale processing equipment.
• Set up, run and support process development trials and experiments.
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
• Accurately record process data, observations and test results.
• Collect samples and support quality testing activities.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and operational readiness.
• Support inventory control, goods-in activities and general facility upkeep.
• Contribute to risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and quality teams to deliver project objectives.
