Job summary

Straight Forward Recruitment Limited is hiring a reliable Picker & Packer for part-time daytime hours in a hands-on warehouse role. You will pick and pack online orders using a handheld scanner to ensure accuracy and prepare items for dispatch.

Starting Monday for the shift 07:30–16:30, with 2–5 days per week and training provided. The role can involve varying days and a cold warehouse environment.£12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• Physically active role; able to lift and move items.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Warehouse experience in picking/packing is advantageous but not required; training provided.

Straight Forward Recruitment is currently recruiting reliable and hardworking Picker & Packers to join our client’s warehouse team.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for part-time, daytime work in a hands-on warehouse role. You will be responsible for picking and packing online customer orders using a handheld scanner, ensuring orders are accurate and ready for dispatch.

Start Date: Monday 2nd November 2026
Working Hours: 07:30 – 16:30
Shift Pattern: Part-time days only at present

Days will vary due to busy times.

Can be between 2 and 5 days a week depending on work load

Key Responsibilities

• Picking products accurately for online customer orders.

• Using a handheld scanner to locate items and confirm picks.

• Packing orders securely and preparing them for dispatch.

• Checking products and orders for accuracy and quality.

• Keeping the warehouse and work areas clean, tidy and organised.

• Following health and safety procedures at all times.

• Working efficiently to meet daily picking and packing targets.

  • • FLT licence would be advantageous but it is not required

What We’re Looking For

• A reliable and punctual individual with a positive attitude.

• Good attention to detail and accuracy.

• Someone comfortable with a physically active role.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Previous warehouse, picking or packing experience is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided.

Working Environment

Please be aware that the warehouse can be cold, so we recommend wearing extra layers, such as a warm jumper underneath your workwear, to stay comfortable throughout your shift.
