Job summary

Straight Forward Recruitment Limited is recruiting a reliable Picker / Packer – Goods-In Operative in Norfolk (Dereham) to join a busy warehouse team. Training is provided and prior warehouse experience is helpful but not required.

Working Monday to Friday, 06:30–16:30, you will handle picking/packing, goods-in checks and stock recording using a warehouse system. The role starts on National Minimum Wage during the probationary period with full onboarding and progression potential.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on warehouse role.
• Able to work accurately and efficiently, including under time pressure when required.
• Reliable, responsible and committed to the role.
• Good attention to detail and a logical approach to tasks.
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• Previous warehouse, picking, packing or goods-in experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing goods accurately in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Receiving, checking and recording incoming deliveries.
• Inspecting goods to ensure quantities are correct and products meet the required quality standards.
• Using a warehouse management system to record and track stock movements, with full training provided.
• Keeping the warehouse and work areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Following all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Working efficiently to meet daily targets and deadlines.
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to the smooth running of warehouse operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for stable, long-term employment, with full training provided for the right candidate. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, as the successful applicant will receive training, guidance and ongoing support.

• Paid 15-minute breakfast break.
