Job summary

New College Pontefract is seeking staff to provide feedback and guidance on student performance, and to develop strategies for individual and team growth through innovative teaching practices.

You will advise students on maintaining a positive mental attitude, inspire confidence, and help them use music for personal and social development while upholding safeguarding and confidentiality standards. You will communicate with senior staff and adhere to trust policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback and advice on student performance and skills.
• Develop and discuss strategies for both individual and team play.
• Research good practice of innovative and successful teaching.
• Advise students on how to keep up a positive mental attitude and discipline, inspiring confidence and selfbelief.
• Work with students to use music as a means of personal and social development.
• Act as a role model, gaining the trust and respect of the people you work with.
• Ensure students train to a high level of health and safety at all times.
• Communicate with the Head of School, Teachers and other trust staff.
• Adhere to Trust policies and procedures in relation to safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
• To observe at all times confidentiality appropriate to the post and to work within Trust guidelines of Data
