Job summary

The Portsmouth Academy is seeking a Peripatetic Music Teacher - Piano to inspire KS3 and KS4 students across the curriculum. You will work with the Music Department to deliver high-quality piano tuition, contribute to performances, enrichment and the academy’s wider musical life.

A degree in Music or related subject is required, with experience teaching piano and delivering 1-1 tuition. Excellent communication and a collaborative approach to supporting departmental and extra-curricular

• Educated to degree level in Music or related subject.
• High level of skill and experience in teaching Piano across Key Stages 3 & 4.
• Experience of delivering 1-1 musical tuition.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Support the work of the department and the extra-curricular programme.
• Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of our schools.

Responsibilities

• Teach Piano to students across KS3 and KS4.
• Support the Music Department and students with a range of abilities, fostering creativity and enthusiasm.
• Contribute to the wider musical life of the academy through performances and enrichment activities.

The Portsmouth Academy seeks to appoint a Peripatetic Music Teacher - Piano to join our team and inspire the next generation of musicians.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting our students to learn and advance their music skills at all levels across KS3 and 4. You will work closely with the Music Department to support students with a range of abilities bringing creativity and enthusiasm to your teaching.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the wider musical life of the academy through performances, enrichment and the wider extra-curricular programme.
