Job summary

1st Central is seeking a PI Technical Claims Team Leader in Salford Quays, Manchester to lead a Personal Injury team. You’ll supervise PI Technical Claims Negotiators and drive resolution of claims aligning with policies and SLAs.

The role requires PI MOJ/OIC portal knowledge, strong leadership, and negotiation skills. Expect hybrid work with initial in-office training, then mostly home-based with occasional office days.

We’re looking for a PI Technical Claims Team Leader to join our Personal Injury team based in Salford Quays, Manchester.

In this role, you’ll supervise a team of PI Technical Claims Negotiators, supporting the effective resolution of claims in line with company policies, procedures and SLAs. You’ll help drive team performance, share best practice and support colleagues to develop their knowledge and grow within the business.

Core skills we’re looking for to succeed in the role:

• PI Knowledge: Up to £100,000 including knowledge of MOJ and OIC portals, jurisdiction knowledge preferred but not essential
• Leadership: the ability to motivate employees in a high-pressurised environment
• Negotiation and influencing: confident in negotiating claims outcomes and influencing stakeholders to achieve fair, commercially balanced results
• Organisation: with the ability to prioritise work

Working flexibly, you'll spend the first 3 months in the office full-time for training and support, then hybrid begins with 4 days at home and 1 day in the office. But if you prefer to be in the office more, that's good with us too.
