Job summary

HCB Solicitors is seeking an organised individual to join our personal injury department across our Warrington office and related branches. You will develop positive working relationships with colleagues as work is sourced firm-wide, with hybrid working after probation.

The role covers personal injury including accidents at work, public liability, road traffic accidents, and clinical negligence with limited scope for cases against therapists. PQE required and strong IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be computer literate and able to use listed portals and software.
• 1) Candidates must have at least 3 years PQE.
• 2) Candidates must be self-sufficient and well organised as work is via branch offices.
• 3) Experience in personal injury, clinical negligence, or defendant uninsured cases.

Responsibilities

• Handle personal injury work including accidents at work, public liability, and road traffic accidents.
• Handle clinical negligence cases (excluding therapist cases or mental health practitioners with no physical injury).
• Work on defendant uninsured cases and other firm-wide matters as directed.

The Department

We are looking for an organised individual to join our personal injury department and develop positive, effective working relationships with their colleagues. Work is sourced firm wide. Offices available to work from: Leigh, Warrington, Westhoughton, Whitefield.

The work

• a) Personal injury
  • accidents at work (but generally not industrial disease)
  • public liability accidents (i.e. trips & slips, etc.)
  • road traffic accidents (but generally not whiplash)
• b) clinical negligence, but not cases against therapists; or mental health practitioners where there is no physical injury
• c) defendant cases (ie uninsured),

Requirements

Must be computer literate and know how to use:

• Claim management software
• Claims Portal
• Court Portal
• High Court Portal

Candidate must be at least 3 years PQE

Candidates must be self-sufficient and well organised as work is via the branch offices and personal reputation, not via paying referral fees.
