Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic Physiotherapy Senior Support Worker to join our Physiotherapy Inpatient Surgical team. You will manage a caseload of patients requiring Physiotherapy interventions, utilizing shared skills where appropriate on the Surgical Wards. With support from senior staff, you will be responsible for supervising Physiotherapy Assistants within the team.
You may also work with Physiotherapists to support the rehabilitation of patients on Critical Care and within the Amputee outpatient service.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will undertake role-specific training linked to a competency framework. Weekend working will be included following a period of induction and once an appropriate level of competency is reached.
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills and an empathetic nature who is also organized and able to use their initiative. The ability to work flexibly and as part of a team is essential to provide an efficient and effective service. You will have experience as a Therapy Assistant or Technical Instructor or demonstrate relevant and transferable experience to an equivalent level.
Additionally, you will be able to evidence your continued learning and self-development in your current role.
