Job summary

The Highfield Hospital in Rochdale is seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant to join the Physiotherapy department on a bank basis. This "as and when required" role includes weekend work with an enhanced rate for weekend shifts.

You will assist with physiotherapy interventions, support patients with prescribed exercises, and work with a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, compassionate care. Hours are variable, and you may be asked to fill in as needed during busy periods or when other staff are

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, care or rehabilitation settings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Caring, patient-focused approach and promotion of independence.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of physiotherapy interventions as directed by a registered Physiotherapist.

• Provide reassurance and motivation to patients during therapy.
• Work collaboratively with physiotherapists and other team members to deliver a high-quality service.

Salary: Up to £13.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a bank role working on an \"as and when required\" basis. You will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during times of annual leave or absence.

You will also be expected to work one Saturday morning a month as part of our weekend rota, and on an ad hoc basis during the week as required. An enhancement is paid for weekend work.

Duties of this role include:

• Assist with the delivery of physiotherapy interventions as directed by a registered Physiotherapist.
